For the first time ever an overseas team is competing at the Fiji Primary Schools Netball IDC, which started this morning at the Laucala Multi Purpose Courts.
Tonga has brought in three teams, two under-13 and a under-12 team to play against the local team's from South, West and North.
Team Manager Keilini Nonu said they hardly have these types of competition's back at home, as netball is not on top like rugby and they are here to learn more from Fiji.
Tonga Under 13 were beaten in their first match by Nasinu 8-6 while Suva beat their under 12 side by 15-3.
In other game played so far Cakaudrove defeated Northland 9-7 in the under 13 grade.
Suva is the reigning champions in the under 10,12 and 14 grades while Nasinu is defending their titles in the Under 9, 11 and 13 grades.
