New Zealand based Sean Morell and Dan Rawaqa who plays in France have been retained by the national selectors, together with the rest of the players who were part of the team that won the World Games title.

Surprisingly former 7s rep William Ryder and Lepani Nabuliwaqa are also in the team, although they were not considered in the IRB 7s series this season.

The 30 member training squad has the likes of Jerry Burotu, Pio Tuwai, Emosi Vucago, Orisi Sareki, Peni Rokodiva, Jiuta Lutumailagi and Watisoni Votu.

Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Jolame Bera who were not in the team for the World Games are also in the team.
