The National Soccer Team Coach Yogendra Dutt said local players are being deprived of their right to represent their district in major soccer tournaments.
Dutt's comments come as teams like Navua, Lautoka, Suva and Rewa have roped in overseas based players for the Courts IDC which kicks off at the TFL stadium tomorrow.
Dutt who will be eyeing players during the next few days for the National squad said this is an issue which needs to be looked at.
Dutt added the District Associations must realize that bringing overseas players in tournaments does not help in the selection of the National team.
A total of 23 overseas players have been registered in various soccer teams for the Courts IDC.
Meanwhile the Fiji Football Association will name an extensive National squad after the Courts IDC which will prepare for the Pacific games next year.
