Some overseas coaches have applied for the Digicel Fiji 7s team coaching job.
This has been revealed by FRU Chief Executive Officer Manasa Baravilala this afternoon.
Baravilala said they are still collating the information and he does not have the actual number of coaches that applied.
Former England 7s coach, Ben Ryan has also shown an interest in coaching Fiji.
When Fijivillage asked if there is a possibility that an overseas coach will replace Alifereti Dere, Baravilala said anything is possible.
The new National 7s Coach will guide the team to the upcoming World Series which kicks off in Australia in October.
Meanwhile, Fiji’s top whistle man James Bolabiu has been appointed again as one of the 17 referees to the nine-round series.
