Overseas based clubs have shown interest in participating in the first Digicel Suva 7s series on the 6th and 7th of next month.

Chairman Vili Rauca said clubs from New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea will be coming in for the opening Suva 7s series.

A total of $15,000 in prize money is at stake in the first Digicel Suva 7s, where the two finalists will get a chance to play in the Suva International 7's.

Meanwhile, for the Suva International 7s series, teams like Samoa, Tonga, Manawatu from New Zealand, Hong Kong, PNG and the Fiji 7s team have confirmed they will play in the two day tournament.

The Suva Rugby Union is still waiting on IRB 7s series champions South Africa and Kenya to confirm whether they will be part of the Suva International 7's series.
