Overseas based players are unlikely to be considered in the Digicel Fiji 7s team for the Wellington and San Diego 7s next month.

While the 12 member team will be named when Waisale Serevi's Drifters side will return from the Darwin side next week it is likely that majority of the players that were part of the team in the last IRB 7s series leg will be retained.

Although, Serevi has named Japan based Semisi Naevo and William Ryder in his team for Australia the duo are still tied up with their club commitments and could be ruled out for the tournament.

Fijivillage have been informed the selectors are sticking with their criteria that they want the players to go through a few fitness tests before they can be considered in the team and not to be picking based on reputation.

Ryder last appeared in the Fiji 7s team in the Hong Kong and San Diego 7s last year and was later dropped because of his fitness level.

The Wellington 7s is from the 6th and 7th of next month.
