Starwood Hotels and Resorts have moved quickly and mobilized resources from the Starwood Associate Relief Fund to provide assistance to employees of its three Denarau Island Resorts, many of whom have had their lives devastated by the recent flooding.

Associates of Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific are also working together to help out locals by providing much needed clothing, bedding, and blankets as well as implementing various fundraising initiatives to raise money for other key household items.

Director of Operations for Sheraton and Westin Resort's Denarau Island, Scott Robertson said words cannot describe the gratitude for their associates that have worked tirelessly during this time to ensure that the resorts' guests were taken care of and services maintained, even despite many of their homes being directly affected by the flood waters in low lying areas.
