Vodafone Fiji 7s rep Osea Kolinisau believes the overall world series title is still in sight.
Kolinisau said winning the series depends on the next two tournaments in Japan and Hong Kong.
Kolinisau is back at training with national extended squad after being rested in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s last weekend.
If Kolinisau is fully recovered from injury then he is expected to make the final 12 member team for the Japan 7s.
Some players also expected to make the cut for the next leg include Samisioni Viriviri, Emosi Mulevoro, Pio Tuwai, Joeli Lutumailagi, Donasio Ratubuli, Benito Masilevu and even newcomers Jerry Tuwai and Setefano Rasekaia.
The 12 member team will be named this evening before Fiji faces France next Saturday at 1pm in their first Japan 7s tournament match.
They will then play USA at 4:18pm and Samoa at 8:52pm next Saturday.
