Over 90 high chiefs have arrived at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks to register for the Bose Ni Turaga tomorrow.
Among them is the Vunivaku of Rewa Ro Epeli Mataitini who is a close relative of the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, the high chief of the Burebasaga Confederacy Ro Teimumu Kepa.
When he arrived at the Army gates this afternoon, his car broke down at the gates and soldiers came to his assistance and pushed his car inside.
Also arriving are the Tui Ba Ratu Sairusi Nagagavoka and the Tui Drola from Yasawa.
Fijian Affairs Ministry media liaison officer Kini Rarubi said the chiefs from Ra, Tailevu, Cakaudrove, Macuata and Kadavu have arrived into the Army camp where they will stay for the two days.
The Vunivalu of Serua Ratu Aseri Latianara who is one of the high chiefs from the Burebasaga confederacy has confirmed that he will attend the Bose Ni Turaga.
Also confirming their participation are 9 chiefs from Tailevu where 14 invites were sent out.
Meanwhile, other high chiefs from the Burebasaga confederacy like the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, the head of the Confederacy Ro Teimumu Kepa, Tui Namosi Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Ka Levu Ratu Sakiusa Makuta and the Tui Tavua Ratu Ovini Bokini will not attend the meeting.
Tovata confederacy high chief, Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalvu will also not attend the meeting.
Last Friday, 135 chiefs confirmed they will attend the two day Bose Ni Turaga meeting which starts at 9am tomorrow.
