The Police Drug Unit confiscated marijuana plants with a street value of more than $850,000 from Bau Rd, Nausori on Friday afternoon.

Officer-In-Charge Drugs, Inspector Rajeshni Mala has confirmed that the plants were two to three metres long and were planted in drums.

A villager in his 40's is under investigation.

The plants were located 50 metres from his home.

Meanwhile, a fisherman of Rewa St is in custody after some marijuana plants were confiscated from his house yesterday afternoon.

He is being questioned by officers from the Drug Unit.
