More than 8,098 people are still staying at 291 evacuation centres, more than three weeks after Tropical Cyclone Winston.
National Disaster Management Office Director Akapusi Tuifagalele said 11 schools are still being used as evacuation centres.
14 schools remain closed this week.
Tuifagalele also reveals that 350 schools were affected by Cyclone Winston and 62 schools were destroyed during the natural disaster.
DEATH TOLL
The death toll is 44.
RATIONS
The estimated cost of ration distribution so far is 9.7 million dollars.
The government has not made a decision yet on whether it should distribute the rations after 30 days from when the State of Natural Disaster was declared.
Tuifagalele said cabinet will make a decision on this.
AGRICULTURE
The total cost of damage to the agriculture sector stands at 208.3 million dollars.
44,522 farmers were affected by the cyclone.
CONSTRUCTION
A National Rehabilitation and Reconstruction committee has been formed by government to organise the rehabilitation work that will take place after 30 days of State of Natural Disaster.
There are seven days left in the state of emergency declaration.
25,930 houses were severely affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
9,173 houses were destroyed while 16,757 houses were damaged.
