The National Fire Authority has confirmed that the fire at Eds Bar in Martintar Nadi, destroyed more than seventy percent of the content in the bar.
NFA Media Officer, Ritesh Kumar has confirmed this as police and the fire officers are trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Kumar said they are awaiting the police forensic officers to arrive tomorrow after which the cost of damage and the cause of the fire will be revealed.
NFA Nadi received the fire emergency call at 10pm yesterday and immediately responded.
Quick action by the fire fighters contained the fire spreading to the adjacent business premises and residential buildings.
Some employees of the Bar were inside the building however they managed to escape unhurt.
