Over 600 students from 37 different schools in Fiji are preparing for the National Schools Swimming Championships set to take place at the Damodar Aquatic Center in Suva this Friday and Saturday.
Fiji National Schools Swimming Association President, Patrick Bower is encouraging people to show support to these swimmers as it promotes discipline, water safety and confidence.
Fiji Swimming President, Ben Rova says close to 50% of the team representing Fiji in next month’s Oceania Swimming Championship will be participating in the national school event.
The two‑day event is expected to draw supporters from Western schools like Swami Vivekananda College, Namaka Public School and Mount Saint Mary’s Primary School.
