Over $4 million dollars have been collected so far by the Land Transport Authority and the Department of Roads from the road user levy.

Transport Minister, Captain Timoci Natuva said that this money will now be channelled into road works around the country which will include roads in town and city municipalities.

The Road User Levy came into effect on January 9th this year and the amount a vehicle owner pays is dependent on the capacity of the engine and the vehicle.

Small cars would require to pay about $74 a year and those cars with larger engine capacity would require to pay over $100.
