More than 40 teams will be receiving cash prizes at this weekend's Fiji Bitter Marist 7s that will be held at the Post Fiji stadium.

The major prize - the winner of the "Fiji Bitter Cup" will receive $10,000 while the runner-up will take home $4,000, the Cup semifinalists will receive $1,000 each.

The Plate winner will receive $1,500, the runner-up taking home $700 and the plate semifinalists settling for $500 each.

For the first time ever the winner in the Indo-Fijians and the ladies categories will take home $500 each and $1,000 will be set aside for the winner in the under-19 competition.

Organizers have set aside $100 which will go to the Fiji Premium Fastest Man of the Tournament and to add to all the prizes- the Marist Club will be giving gift packs to the 12 member team that will represent Fiji to Hong Kong - to be announced after the finals on Saturday.
