There are about 3000 applications from people who have applied for a Public Rental Board Unit in the new upgrade of the Raiwai site.

Chief Executive for PRB, Mesake Senibulu said they have completed the demolition of the four storey flats and they have a new housing plan which will give a facelift to the Raiwai residents.

Senibulu said they will ensure that the new 250 units are not crowded when compared to the demolished 4 storey building.

The reconstruction of the units is expected to begin by September this year.

Meanwhile the PRB and the Housing Authority have requested their customers to help donate to the people living in the PRB flats who were affected in the flood especially in the West and North.
