Over 20,000 bookings are made in a year for speeding.

Land Transport Authority CEO, Naisa Tuinaceva said despite LTA and Police efforts to prevent this, people continue to disregard the law.

Tuinaceva said their officers cannot completely surround the whole country at one particular time to curb down on over-speeding, so people have to step up and become more responsible.

Meanwhile, LTA has now reached second level of taking action against habitual offenders whereby drivers who are caught over-speeding several times will have their license suspended.
