A drug raid carried out in the Western Division over the past two weeks saw Police uprooting more than 2000 marijuana plants with a street value of ten million dollars.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Suliano Tevita confirms that the drug raid was carried out in Vatukoula, Ba and Rakiraki between 5th and 19th of this month.

Sergeant Tevita says 25 farms were raided where police uprooted 2033 plants adding that four men have been charged with cultivation and being in possession of illicit drugs.

Their cases are now before the court.
