More than 112 thousand people are now affected by the prolonged water disruptions in the greater Suva and Lami areas.
Water Authority of Fiji Chief Executive, Opetaia Ravai said they are working around the clock to fix the two main trunk lines which have been washed away in the Colo-i-Suva hills.
These lines take water from Waimanu to the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant.
Ravai said they are looking at all options to ensure that they fix the problem by this weekend.
When asked on whether they are also looking at seeking assistance from other organizations like the RFMF Engineers Unit, Ravai said they are exploring all options.
Meanwhile some frustrated residents in Tamavua and Samabula have raised serious concerns that water trucks have not come to their area since Sunday.
Residents from Princes Road, Lovoni Road, Bureta Street and other surrounding areas say some water trucks pass many houses, stop for a few minutes and then drive away while people are still waiting with their buckets on the roadside.
They said that they have called the Water Authority many times and they keep assuring residents that the trucks are coming.
They are calling on the Water Authority to ensure that the truck drivers and the cartage team go to all the affected areas and ensure that everyone standing with empty buckets are given water.
Fijivillage has raised the issue with the Water Authority.
On to the waste water situation after the collapse of the waste water pipe near Cunningham creek.
The Water Authority is now working on a temporary solution which would be done by Christmas.
Ravai said they are trying to deal with the stench and the spillage.
