DISMAC has estimated a total cost of more than $10 million in damage incurred in various sectors due to Hurricane Tomas.

In the latest situation report, roads in both North and the Eastern division incurred damage of $8.6 million.

The Agriculture sector also suffered extensive damage with both the Eastern and Northern division recording losses of more than $1.1 million.

The health sector suffered $650,000 worth of damage to its facilities, while the Education sector suffered $76,000 of damage to its infrastructure.

The Fiji Electricity Authority has estimated a total damage cost of over $311,000 for the Northern Division alone.

DISMAC said more updates are still being received as detail assessments continue.
