The visiting Russian Federation delegates led by their Ambassador to Fiji are eyeing more than 10 projects for Fiji.

Russian Ambassador to Fiji Alexander Blokhin confirmed earlier this week that Russia is into developing relations in economical, political and cultural ties with Fiji, which range from the agriculture sector, the film industry, and climate change along with other projects.

Ambassador Blokhin said they are now awaiting a technical proposal from Fiji's Ambassador to Russia Isikeli Mataitoga, who is based in Brussels, before they pursue the proposal with relevant authorities.

Ambassador Blokhin added they were eager to strengthen ties with the Asia Pacific region because, according to him, the world depends on this region for economic growth.

He added Russia's interest in the region lay more in strengthening economic relations.
