The Ovalau Zone has sent out a strong message to top schools, Adi Cakobau, Suva Grammar and Marist Brothers that they will be out to create upsets in this years Annual Coca Cola Games.

The Ovalau Zone kicked off their two-day competition yesterday and a total of three records were broken.

Records came from Ratubuka Vueti who set a new record in the junior boys javelin with a throw of 39.7 metres, the second came from Levuka Public senior, Shanky D with a throw of 37.9 in the discus and the third was set by LPS student Ratu Marika Rokotuinaceva who set a jump of 5.69m.

The Tavua/Vatukoula/.Ra/Nadarivatu zone also kicked off yesterday in the long distance, and Salote Naula of Nakauvadra High took out the first gold medal in the 1500 metres.

Competition continues today.

Also today is the MACUATA 1 and 2 Zones and the Taveuni Zone.
