The Outrigger 7s team has caused the first upset of Day two of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s after beating last year's finalist Police 17-14 to remain unbeaten in Pool D.

Former Suva Grammar School sprinter Aporosa Tabulawaki was at his best scoring a try to clinch victory which is likely to secure their place in the cup quarterfinals tomorrow.

Despite the win, Tabulawaki said they still have a lot of work to do.


Outrigger will play Wardens Green in their last pool match and a win will see them top their pool.

Meanwhile, the Serevi Select side with a wealth of experience on their side continued their fine performance after recording their second victory in the tournament beating Lauli’I Pago from American Samoa 34-5.

Semi Kunatani showed why he was Ben Ryan's best player yesterday after scoring a try to help Yamacia beat Jasa Veremalua's Hideaway Hurricanes 24-10 this morning.

Daveta with the services of several of the Nadroga players defeated Ratuva Horse Riding 17-7.

Meanwhile, after the second round of pool matches some of the teams that look good to proceed to the cup quarters include Outrigger, Northern Surburbs, Daveta, Army and the Serevi Select side.

In the women's division the Aussie Pearls and the Fijiana 7s team are the favorites to win the Crest Na Iri trophy after recording impressive wins in their pools.

The Aussie Pearls thrashed Striders 59-0 and then humbled New Caledonia 50-0.

Fijiana led by captain Pricilla Siata beat Pacific 2 Blues 41-0 before thrashing Sydney Fijian Ranadi 36-0.
