The former Fiji Rugby Union Board of Directors will continue to be in office until they officially hand in their resignation in the special general meeting next month.

Yesterday the Sports Minister Filipe Bole had announced that the FRU Board members had agreed to Government's suggestion for them to step down from their posts and he stressed that they had done it on their own free will.

However speaking to Fijivillage this morning Interim Chairman, Rafaele Kasibulu said that following the meeting, it has been decided that they will remain in office and overseas operations until the new board comes in next month.

He stressed that they stood down for the betterment of rugby and were following the FRU constitution.
