There is no surprise in the outcomes released by the Pacific Island Leaders at the Forum Meeting in Tonga.
This is the view of the National Federation Party General Secretary, Pramod Rae who adds that the only new outcome in the Forum was the Interim Prime Minister finally accepting the undertaking he had given earlier.
Meanwhile, according to Fiji Human Rights Commissioner and Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shameema Ali it seems the Interim Prime Minister does not understand what the term militarisation means.
Ali was responding to Commodore Frank Bainimarama's comments earlier that NGOs and some media outlets coined the term militarisation, in reference to military officers taking up senior positions in the civil service.
