Ousted PM’s driver taken into military custody
Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase's lawyer Tevita Fa has raised concern on the action taken by the military after they took Qarase's driver in military custody yesterday.
Fa said he has written a letter to the Solicitor General questioning why the military took the action.
He added that the military should be careful in dealing with this issue.
Army spoke-person Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said he will be briefed this morning before he can give details on why the soldiers took Qarase's driver in for questioning yesterday morning from Qarase's home at Moti Street. The driver was released yesterday afternoon.
