Fiji born Highlanders winger Patrick Osborne has joined prop Craig Millar in returning home from their Super Rugby road trip in South Africa.
The former Jai Narayan College and Queen Victoria School student aggravated a high ankle injury in the win over the Sharks, while Millar has a shoulder injury.
Argentine Matias Diaz has been sent to South Africa as front row cover while Osborne won't be replaced.
The Highlanders end their tour against the Stormers at 1am on Sunday.
