A number of organizations met in Suva today and the main item on the agenda was noise levels from certain gatherings and people being disturbed.
Representatives of the Suva City Council, Fiji Sports Council, University of the South Pacific, some members of the business community in Suva and church organizations attended the meeting and they have decided to have quarterly meetings.
SCC Administrator Vijendra Prakash said they have come to the conclusion that good sense should prevail and everyone needs to be mindful of their actions and how it affects every citizen.
Prakash said they understand that religious gatherings, sports events and other functions are necessary.
He said some types of noises are also uncontrollable but common sense should prevail.
