Organisers of the 2012 Uprising International 7s are working closely with the Fiji Rugby Union for the Fiji 7s team to take part in their tournament in January.
Chairman, Culden Kamea said that they hope that the FRU will allow the national 7s side to use this competition to build up a combination for the NZ and USA 7s.
Former New Zealand captain, Eric Rush said that most of the team playing in the IRB 7s series will struggle to win games in Fiji in a tournament like the Uprising 7s.
The 2012 Uprising International 7s will be held on the 20th and 21st of January.
