Organisers of the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s are hoping that the Fiji Barbarians team will play in their tournament next week.
President, Vili Varasikete has confirmed that they have approached the FRU to allow the shadow Fiji team to play in their tournament.
Varasikete said that 64 clubs will play in the two day tournament with top clubs like Wardens, Red Rock, Army, Police and defending champion Ratu Filise confirmed so far.
He added that a total prize-money of $35,000 will be at stake with the winner walking away with $21,000.
The Nawaka 7s will be held next Friday in Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
