The Citizens Constitutional Forum has today come out and said that although they want general elections to be held next year, there are many reasons why it cannot be held.
Reverend Akuila Yabaki said there is a need for electoral reform and a forum has been set where this issue needs to be first discussed by all the stakeholders.
The Women's Crisis Centre believes that elections can be held in March next year.
Coordinator Shamima Ali said there is a need for all the NGO's to get together and call on the interim government to have elections in March 2009.
The Director for Ecumenical Centre for Research Education and Advocacy ECREA, Chantelle Khan believes this issue should be put forward in the political forum.
Meanwhile, the SDL National Director Peceli Kinivuwai said electoral reform is just an excuse to delay elections.
