Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has said it is unfortunate that the Opposition has been completely consumed by the 2018 General Elections.
This is after the Opposition labelled the 2017-2018 National Budget as an election budget.
Sayed-Khaiyum says the problem is that the Opposition does not understand sound economic management.
NFP Leader, Biman Prasad says the 2017/2018 National Budget is an election budget claiming that it is good politics but not a good policy.
Leader of Opposition, Ro Teimumu Kepa also called it a typical vote buying budget.
