Out of the eight hundred fifty plus population in Fiji, only eleven thousand lives are insured.
This is according to Pacific Financial Inclusion Task force Project Manager Tilman Bruett who said it is important for households to build a secured financial future.
Bruett said with the introduction of micro-life insurance which provides affordable insurance for low income people it will greatly assist.
LICI had officially launched their Micro-life insurance earlier this week in Suva.
