The Fiji Rugby Union has made it clear that only the top 8 teams from last year's provincial competition will be given the chance to challenge for the Farebrother Sullivan trophy this year.

This has come after Navosa Rugby officials questioned the FRU on why they are not given the greenlight for a double header against Tailevu.

Last year Tailevu won the Farebrother from Nadroga in a double header at Lawaqa Park although Tailevu finished in the 10th spot in the 2006 competition.

Navosa secretary Ropate Labalaba said they finished in 9th spot last year and it seems FRU is practicing double standards in this year's competition.

Meanwhile, in tomorrow’s Digicel Cup games Nadroga host Tavua, Namosi faces Lautoka, Northland plays Nadi, Suva travels to Ovalau while Rewa takes on Naitasiri.
