One off concert for Katchafire
Katchafire which started in 1997 is a New Zealand based roots reggae band which got their name from the Bob Marley and The Wailers album Catch A Fire.
The band has so far toured Australia, the UK, Europe, the USA and New Caledonia and has played at festivals with international reggae acts and was the only Pacific act to tour with artists Arrested Development, The Wailers, Maxi Priest and UB40 as part of the 2008 Raggamuffin Tour.
At the moment Katchafire is on the road in the US as part of their "10 shows in 10 days" tour.
The organisers of the one off concert of the Katchafire Tour, Total Event Company say that they expect the event to be a sold out concert.
Manager, Loretta Jackson said that response has been good from the West.
The is the second time that Katachafire are coming to our shores thanks to Communications Fiji Limited the parent Company of Legend FM, FM96, VitiFM, Sargam and Navtarang as well as Total Event Company.
The Katchafire Redemption Tour with a Tribute to Bob Marley will be held at the Vodafone Arena this Saturday with the gates opening at 6pm with the Concert expected to start at 8pm.
The tickets for the event can be bought at the home of Legend FM at 231 Waimanu Road in Suva, Sugar Cane Growers Council Building in Lautoka, and SPR outlets in Suva and in Nadi.
