Nausori Police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old man for allegedly punching a 25-year-old farmer of Tailevu whose body was found in Nausori town in Thursday.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita has confirmed the man was charged today and will appear in the Nausori Magistrates Court on Monday.

Post mortem revealed that the farmer died of brain hemorrhage.

It is alleged the suspect punched the deceased while he was on his way from a nightclub.

Meanwhile, Sigatoka Police are questioning two men who are alleged to have been involved in the brutal killing of Cuvu taxi driver Mohammad Nasir.

According to police the two were arrested after extensive police investigations and are expected to be charged soon.

It is alleged the two hired the taxi and upon reaching Cuvu they stabbed the driver to death. There were some visible stabs wounds on Nasir.

It is then alleged the two drove the taxi and abandoned it about five kilometers away from where they left Mohammad Nasir's body.
