The Digicel Fiji 7s team has started training at about 10pm to get used to the 8 hour time difference in Moscow during the World Cup 7s next weekend.

Coach, Alifereti Dere said they leave for Russia on Monday and preparations are on track.


Captain Lepani Botia said the players love the training sessions at night. 

 
Fiji 7s Vice Captain, Vereniki Goneva who is the only player from the 2009 World Cup 7s team said the current team is focused and will try it’s best to make Fiji proud.


Fiji will play Tonga at 12.28am next Saturday in their first pool match of the 7s World Cup. 

We then take on Uruguay at 6.28pm next Saturday and Fiji’s last pool match is against Wales at 12.42am Sunday. 

The Cup quarterfinals start at 9pm Sunday, the Cup semis kick off at 12.40am Monday while the World Cup 7s final will start at 4.55am Monday.
