An International Olympic trophy for promoting healthy lifestyles in young people was awarded today to local development organization, Save the Children Fiji.

The trophy was for the “Race for Survival” organized by Save the Children, where six local primary schools took part in a 1500-meter relay last year.

Navesi Primary School won the relay and they were ranked 4th out of the 29 teams that participated worldwide after finishing the race in a time of 4:15s.

Save the Children Fiji’s CEO, Raijeli Nicole said the award really helps demonstrate the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect while also supporting their mission of delivering immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives.
