Usain Bolt will be hot favourite to make it a golden sprint double at the Olympic Games in Beijing after cruising into the 200 metres final.

The Jamaican, who won the 100 metres in a world record time of 9.69 seconds, jogged next to rival Shawn Crawford in the last 60 metres to win his semifinal in 20.09 seconds. The Men's 200 metres final will be held at 2:20am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Nigeria and Argentina have booked their places into the final of the Men's soccer competition.

Nigeria in last night's semifinal defeated Belgium 4-1 while reigning champions Argentina beat Brazil 3-0. It means the final on Saturday at 4pm in Beijing will be a repeat of the final in 1996 which Nigeria won.

Now looking at the medal tally, China leads with 43 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze.

USA remains in second with 26 gold, 26 silver and 27 bronze while Great Britain with 16 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze lies in third place.
