People travelling along the Sawani/Serea highway have been advised that the old Naqali bridge has been closed to all traffic as it is underwater.
Ministry of Works spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete confirms that other roads closed due to flooding are the Waima bridge as the Waima flats is flooded, the Naivucini and the Navulokani bridges are also underwater.
Waqainabete stresses that the general public using the highway should not try to cross the flooded bridges as the currents are very strong.
