The National Fire Authority, the Land Transport Authority, National Road Safety Council and Police are currently in a meeting to discuss investigations into the Bus Tragedy at Malaqereqere, Sigatoka last Thursday night.
This had been confirmed by Fire Chief Executive Josefa Gavidi who said the officials are all currently meeting adding they are ready to provide all the support they can to the Forensic Investigators from Australia, who are expected to lead investigations into the bus fire.
The interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had called on stringent transport measures to prevent a tragic incident like this from happening again.
The bus fire tragedy claimed 10 lives out of a bus of more than 50 people, who were travelling to Nadi to attend a funeral.
