The SDL Party is waiting for an official confirmation from the Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni that police will not investigate the treason complaint filed against Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, Teleni, members of the military council and the interim cabinet.
SDL Lawyer, Niko Nawaikula said once they receive the official confirmation, they will proceed with the matter.
However, he adds if there is no word from the Commissioner on the complaint then they will review all documents on the issue and statements made by the Commissioner.
Police PRO Ema Mua said Teleni is still in India and is expected to make a statement on the issue upon his return.
