Any Police Officer found drinking yaqona on the job or in any Police property will face insubordination charges.
That is the strong message from Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni.
When questioned by Fijivillage news with regards to the investigations into alleged insubordination by officers, Teleni confirmed that some have been sacked while others have been issued final warning.
Commodore Teleni added that the issue of insubordination also includes defying the order of not drinking grog on the job.
Commodore Teleni had earlier this month told the chiefs and those in attendance at the Nadroga/Navosa Crime Free Day that if they saw any Police Officer drinking grog while visiting their villages to call him personally and the officer will be taken to task.
