A senior police officer from Totogo Police Station who allegedly made racist and derogatory remarks to a constable is still at work.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the file is with the Police Commissioner’s Office.
She said no charges have been laid as yet however the senior officer is being investigated for misconduct.
When questioned on whether the senior officer will be tried in the civilian courts if he is charged, Naisoro said she cannot comment.
The alleged incident occurred in a public place.
