Police have arrested and charged one of their own officers for allegedly assaulting his wife.
The officer, who is part of the Mobile Unit, allegedly assaulted his wife who is a policewoman in Nausori.
The incident took place after a domestic dispute.
The officer has been bailed to appear in the Nausori Magistrates court on 19th of November.
Police are calling on members of the public and officers, not to resort to violence while dealing with domestic problems.
