The safety of people living in the four storey buildings at the Raiwai and Raiwaqa flats is at risk and it is not a question of whether to move or stay as eviction will still take place by December this year.
General Manager of the Public Rental Board Mesake Senibulu said more than 200 families living in the four storey buildings do not want to take the lucrative offer given to them and the board is concerned for their safety.
Senibulu said three independent engineers commissioned a report to the board that continued to say the building is structurally deficient to continue to house people.
