Obama Wins Key Battleground State
Pennsylvania was one of John McCain's main targets, and experts said it will be difficult for him to win without it.
Other results have gone as expected but news from the BBC has just come in that Obama has taken another key state, Ohio.
In early developments,
Obama is projected to have taken Vermont, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Delaware, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Maryland, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey and Ohio.
McCain is projected to have taken Kentucky, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama.
270 Electoral College votes from the states are needed for either Obama or McCain to win.
So far Obama has won 200 and McCain 124.

In the 2004 US elections between George W Bush and John Kerry, a total of half a billion US dollars was spent by the Bush and Kerry camps combined.
In this election, with 21 months of campaigning, it has been a record in spending with John McCain's team spending 924 million US dollars and Barrack Obama's camp spending 1.6 billion US dollars, the campaign spending itself is much more than Fiji's national budget.
Republican John McCain is attempting to defy the opinion polls however it does not look good for him.
The BBC which is in the McCain camp in Phoenix, Arizona, said some of the people are already conceding that Barack Obama will be the next President.
In Chicago, the Obama camp is ready to celebrate as they await Obama's arrival.
