The Oceania Football Confederation will step in to help Fiji Football Association in trying to secure transit visas for its National under 20 team.

New Zealand Immigration declined to give transit visas for the Fiji team to travel to Tahiti for the Oceania under 20 playoffs next month.

The rejection is part of the sanctions imposed by the New Zealand Government following the Military takeover in 2006.

The National Team chairman Rajesh Patel said they are hoping that good sense will prevail because there is no other economical route to Tahiti from Fiji and they must get the New Zealand transit visa.

Patel said that Fiji Under 20 side is expected to leave next week. Fiji's opening match will be against New Zealand on December 13.
