Clubs competing in the region's top soccer league, the O-League will as of next year no longer go through the elimination process.

They will also benefit from the Oceania Football Confederation's "Win in Oceania Financing Programme". These were agreed to during a recent OFC meeting in Auckland.

Fifa through OFC's "Win in Oceania financing programme" will provide funds for OFC members to boost and improve their national soccer leagues.

The OFC Competition Committee also agreed to reformat the O-League participants to eight countries. Only six countries are currently competing in the competition.

Fifa want to see that the leagues in each country meet the highest standard of excellence in football.
