James O’Connor will miss Australia’s Tri Nations decider against New Zealand after being suspended for missing last week’s World Cup squad announcement.

The Australian Rugby Union said it had suspended O’Connor until August 28th.

He has also been given an AUS$10,000 suspended fine.

The ARU said suspended fine will remain in place until end of this year.

21 year old O’Connor was reportedly spotted at one or two hotels the night before the squad announcement.

He publicly apologised on Sunday and said he had let down his team and Australian rugby.

Wallabies will host the All Blacks on Saturday at 10pm.
